DIY Pore Strips!
Most people’s skin needs
are complex. It’s very common to have several issues that contradict
each other. Today, I’m going to make a mask that will simply purge my
pores of impurities, namely blackheads. I’m sure all of us at one point
in time have used pore strips-you remember, those band aids from hell
that you place on your nose, wait 10 minutes then RIP! Ouch! They work
though. This mask is similar, but not as costly!
As seen in my pic, I originally thought putting
this mask all over my face was a good idea. IT IS NOT. Seriously, I
should have taken pictures of the tears rolling down my pink cheeks as I
tried to get this mask off-and I’ve had 2 home births-I’m no wimp.
Lost 2 eyebrow hairs too. So, lesson learned-ONLY PUT THIS MASK ON YOUR NOSE AND CHIN.
On the bright side, I have no facial hair and I have lots of
circulation in my face now! I cringe thinking of the unseen damage I
just caused! If you do end up getting it in your hair line or eyebrows
or in an area that is too sensitive, water will dissolve it. You don’t
have to peel it off. This mask is super simple. All you need is gelatin and milk! So, let’s get started!
Pore Strip Mask
1 TBSP Milk
1 packet unflavored gelatin
Mix the 2 ingredients, microwave for 10 seconds and apply a THIN
layer to your chin and/or nose. Let it set on your skin for about
10-15 minutes. You’ll know when it’s done-it will fill quite tight.
Once dry, start peeling!
